GONG XI FA CAI, happy prosperous lunar new year everyone!!!
Hope you are enjoying your “bai nian” session with your family! If you’re reading this, it’s either you’re not enjoying your bai nian session, or you’re just so into us that you have to press the refresh key for updates everyday. Have you checked out our Facebook or Instagram yet? :p
As I have typed this entry bout 6 days ago, I should be out and about today with Raymond and our family to bai nian. The first day is always a bit packed cos we have a big family so there’s a few houses to visit. I hope I am happily chatting with relatives, stuffing my face with bak kwa, shrimp roll, my aunt’s pineapple tarts, and some other super yummy goodies now and not sitting at one corner, playing game on my phone or dozing off.
Okie if you are really bored, and would like to test your limit and see how much boring stuffs can you take, read on;
If you have watched Models Reinvented on Channel 5 some time back, you’d have spotted a familiar face – a botak guys. Ok there were two botaks in the show, but Raymond was one of the two botaks. Hehe. So Raymond was invited to be the photographer (great honor by the way) for one of the challenge which the models had to go through, which was the Photoshoot challenge. They were each given a theme which they had to portray, and the theme for the photoshoot was the 7 sins.
Here’s just some of the gears which we brought along for the shoot that day. Darn heavy!!
Once we were on board the huge yacht, we chucked our gears one side and roamed around the area to scout for suitable locations.
This was one of the location which Lester/Susu thought was ok. Look at Susu’s awkward looking expression. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Don’t know she awkward about what also. :p
So while Raymond was shooting recce shots, I bummed around with my phone and snap pictures of them.
As Raymond was standing at a higher angle and he wasn’t satisfied with what he got, he passed the camera to Lester who was at the bottom to ask him grab a shot and let him see how it looks from a lower angle.
Here’s the actual photoshoot scene with Raymond and his favourite pair of oversized Timberland pants. I was unfortunately feeling the effect of the bouncy water. So bouncy until it disrupted the water balance in my brain, so I got dizzy, had to take the seasick pill which Jacqueline had prepared for us beforehand.
The back view of the two botaks – Marcus the stylist (incredible guy to work with) and Raymond the photographer (pants a bit loose). Hahahaha! And that’s one of the finalist working it like a pro.
Susu the gangster with one foot up the chair. She was holding on to the laptop cos Raymond was shooting tether so that Susu the digital plastic surgeon could immediately look at the photograph and let Raymond know if there’s something distracting in the photos, or maybe anything to take note of.
Raymond with his camera and the so striking camera strap – Canon – Delighting you always. Muwahahahahahahaha!!
That’s one of the male model (not one of the finalist cos it’s an all ladies contest).
While the crew were filming the interview segment of how the judges felt about each finalist/contestants, Lester and I were stuck in one of the bedroom. We had to be very quiet, and had to hide underneath so that the camera won’t see us two idiots in the background. -_-”
That’s Mel holding the reflector while Raymond was being interviewed about his experience and the contestants/finalists.
I just happened to catch his eye half open half closed face. Makes him look like he’s giving a really smug expression. Oooops! :p
After this shot, it’s a wrap for us!
It was quite a fun and enjoyable experience, minus the bobbing dizzy and merciless sun tanning part. Wish we can have different experiences in different environments every time on all our photoshoots! A bit too much to ask hor? But… one can always dream, right? :p
Is there any couple out there who would like to do a shoot in Africa? Do a shoot with dolphins? A shoot with the aurora northern lights? Have access so some exclusive locations etc?
Quick, email us to contactme @ raymondphang.com or whatsapp me at +65 8138 3397!!! Make Raymond make your dream to have an out of the world photoshoot and my dream of experiencing new locations/things on all photoshoots come true! And if you sign off the email as Santa Claus, I’ll be sure to psycho Raymond to give you some perks. Teeheeheeheeheehee.
Looking forward! 😀
Truckloads of huat huat,
