Ming Song was introduced to me by a mutual friend years ago when i just started photography. Years past and look where he is now! Getting married with Felicia! Well done i must say! I was offered an important role this time round and it was to be one of the brothers. I laugh at every gate crashing wedding and now karma bites back. This also marks the first wedding i shot with a Leica M9-P rangefinder with a single 35mm lens. Not only is it only on manual focusing but it starts becoming noisy at ISO 800. However as the day past on, i begin to slowly appreciate the nuance of the rangefinder. By taking things slow, you look at things differently than gunning it with the usual DSLRs. The noise being a double edge sword, actually makes the images look so film like! Its going to be a love hate relationship with the Leica M9-P in future. More of the former than latter of course!
Feedback welcome on this set of images. This is the first time im trying a rangefinder so please be gentle! Most of the shots are taken at waist level without focusing thru the rangefinder with a rough gague of the distance. The m9p makes me feel like a photographer again! Haha!
Hope you guys will enjoy this series – my virgin try at wedding with the Leica M9-P. Happy Boxing Day! 🙂
Happy Boxing Day to you guys! 🙂
Love,
Raymond Phang
